Ait-Ben-Haddou_in_Morocco - CopyWe will pick you up from our hotel in Marrakesh and start a 4 hour journey across Tishka pass (2260m) to a small but world-famous Berber village of Ait Benhaddou. This is a must-see for anyone who is interested in architecture and history of this region. After our arrival, we will have lunch in a nice restaurant with this UNESCO world heritage kasbah in the background.

Aït Benhaddou is a fortified city along the former caravan route between the Sahara and Marrakech in present-day Morocco. This giant fortification is a great example of earthen clay architecture. Aït Benhaddou has been a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 1987.

Many Hollywood films have been shot there, including: Lawrence Of Arabia (1962), Jesus of Nazareth (1977), The Jewel of the Nile (1985), The Mummy (1999), Gladiator (2000), Alexander (2004), Kingdom of Heaven (2005), Prince of Persia (2010), Game of Thrones (2014) and many more til today.

A guided tour to this kasbah will be given after lunch. We will walk through small souvenir and art shops all the way up to the top of this large kasbah complex.

After a leisurely walk around this UNESCO kasbah, we will return to Marrakesh through the windy roads of Tishka pass and bring you back to your hotel.
